Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your booking and participation in retreats and events organised by Sacred Emotions ("we", "us", "our"), operated by Jean and Julia. By booking a retreat or event, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Booking & Registration

To secure your spot at a Sacred Emotions retreat, a deposit is required at the time of booking. Your booking is confirmed once we receive the deposit and send you a written confirmation. The number of places at each retreat is limited, and spots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Full payment must be completed according to the agreed payment schedule. If you have selected a payment plan, all instalments must be paid by the specified due dates.

2. Pricing & What Is Included

The retreat price covers accommodation, all meals and snacks, every workshop and session, guided practices, ceremonies, creative sessions, and access to the full retreat programme. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave, everything on-site is taken care of. The only things not included are flights, travel to and from the venue, and personal expenses.

3. Payment Plans

We offer flexible payment plans so you can spread the cost over several instalments leading up to the retreat. Once you secure your spot with a deposit, we will work out a schedule that suits you. Full details are shared during the booking process.

Outstanding balances remain due according to the agreed payment schedule. Failure to complete payments does not release you from the financial commitment. If you are experiencing difficulty, please reach out to us as early as possible so we can discuss options.

4. Cancellation Policy

All payments made toward the retreat (including deposits and payment plan instalments) are non-refundable. Your booking secures one of a limited number of spots, and we commit resources immediately upon your registration.

• More than 60 days before the retreat: You may transfer your spot to another person (subject to our approval). No refund will be issued.
• 60 days or less before the retreat: No refunds will be issued. Spot transfers may still be requested but are not guaranteed.

We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, illness, and unexpected circumstances.

5. Cancellation by the Organiser

In the unlikely event that we must cancel or postpone the retreat due to unforeseen circumstances (including but not limited to force majeure events, government restrictions, venue issues, or insufficient enrolment), no monetary refunds will be issued. Participants will have the opportunity to transfer their booking to the next scheduled retreat date or to another future retreat within the following 12 months.

All payments made will be credited in full toward the rescheduled retreat. The credit is non-refundable and non-transferable to cash. Sacred Emotions is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred, including but not limited to flights, travel costs, accommodation outside the retreat venue, visa fees, or insurance.

6. Force Majeure

Sacred Emotions shall not be held liable for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political instability, travel restrictions, pandemics, or other force majeure events. By booking a retreat with Sacred Emotions, you acknowledge and accept these terms.

7. Health & Safety

Participation in all retreat activities is voluntary. You are responsible for assessing your own physical and mental health suitability for the practices offered. If you have any pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, or mental health concerns, please inform us before the retreat so we can ensure your safety and comfort.

Sacred Emotions does not provide medical, therapeutic, or psychological treatment. Our facilitators are trained in somatic and emotional wellness practices, including Compassionate Inquiry, but these are not substitutes for professional medical or psychological care.

8. Assumption of Risk & Liability

By participating in a Sacred Emotions retreat, you acknowledge that certain activities (including but not limited to movement practices, breathwork, emotional release exercises, excursions in nature, and swimming) carry inherent risks. You voluntarily assume these risks and agree that Sacred Emotions, its facilitators, hosts, and staff shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, or claim arising from your participation.

We strongly recommend that all participants have appropriate travel and health insurance in place before attending a retreat.

9. Code of Conduct

We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all participants. By attending a Sacred Emotions retreat, you agree to:

• Treat all participants, facilitators, and staff with kindness and respect.
• Honour the confidentiality of what is shared during group sessions and sharing circles.
• Respect personal boundaries — your own and those of others.
• Refrain from the use of drugs or excessive alcohol during the retreat.
• Follow the guidelines and requests of the facilitation team.

Sacred Emotions reserves the right to ask a participant to leave the retreat if their behaviour is disruptive, harmful, or in violation of these guidelines. No refund will be issued in such cases.

10. Digital Detox

We invite you to take a break from your phone during the retreat. If you wish, you can hand in your phone on arrival — it will be stored safely with us. For peace of mind, we will share our contact details with your family, friends, or workplace for emergencies only. If needed, your phone will be returned to you immediately.

11. Photography & Media

During the retreat, we may take photographs or videos for use on our website, social media, and promotional materials. By attending, you consent to the use of your image unless you inform us otherwise before or during the retreat. We will always aim to capture moments with sensitivity and respect.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, materials, practices, and programmes shared during the retreat and on our website are the intellectual property of Sacred Emotions. They may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable national laws of the country in which the retreat takes place (Spain or Portugal). Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in the relevant jurisdiction.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The current version will always be available on this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
